Other Assets

This section is devoted to the random assets I have created. Included are some lighting renders, texture work, models, Unity tests, etc.

This model was created as a speed test to see how quickly I could get an idea fleshed out in Maya.

The idea was basically a hand-held turret gun, so with a few photographs for reference, I started modeling.

Because this object was never intended to be used in game play, it has a very high poly count and consists of multiple meshes.

Modeling time:  20-30 minutes with an additional 10-15 of tweaking.

First Organic model and in depth use of Maya's material/shader network. I worked extensively to get the bump and specular maps to look natural, the render has a standard 3 point lighting set up. The model is a simple Subdivided cube with a lattice placed around it, creating the non-uniform rounded shape. All parts of the model, textures and lighting were completed by myself in around 3 days.

This is a high quality render in Maya. I am only responsible for the lighting rig, Models and textures were provided by another artist.
As my first attempt at creating a lighting rig, I feel that I was able to capture most of the mood and ambiance of an early morning in this type of setting.

This is the same scene and camera angle as the image above, but in this render I was going for a quiet, cold, night scene.
